QuickGuess (Paid) – Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how the QuickGuess (Paid) mobile application ("QuickGuess (Paid)", "the App", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information.
1. Who we are
- This policy applies to the mobile application "QuickGuess (Paid)" developed and published by the app owner ("we", "us", "our").
- Contact: quickguessgame@gmail.com. This is also the email listed on our Google Play listing. If unavailable, you can reach us via the in‑app support or publisher email shown in the store.
2. What data we collect
QuickGuess (Paid) is primarily an offline game. We collect only the data necessary to provide optional online features:
A) Account and authentication
- Google Account basic profile: display name, email address, Google UID (via Firebase Authentication).
- App UID: your Firebase user ID.
B) Gameplay and content you create
- Custom word lists you create for Guess, Charades, Yes/No, and Impostor (titles and the words themselves). These can be stored locally and synced to your account in Google Cloud Firestore.
C) App state (paid version)
- Username: your chosen display name (optional, stored with your user document).
- Note: All game features and content are unlocked in the paid version. No purchase tracking or virtual currency is used.
D) Device session status (one‑device policy)
deviceStatusfields stored with your user document: deviceId (Android ID), signedIn (true/false), lastSignInTime (timestamp). These are used only to enforce one‑device‑per‑account, support auto‑logout after 30 days, and to improve account security.
E) Diagnostics and security
- App Check tokens (verification of legitimate app installs), error logs, and non‑identifying analytics that help us secure and improve the service.
We do NOT collect contact lists, precise location, microphone/audio recordings, photos, or SMS. Sensitive personal information categories (health, biometric data, etc.). Payment information, purchase history, or virtual currency (not applicable to paid version). Gift transaction data or coin balances (these features are not available in the paid version).
3. How we use your data
- To sign you in and keep your data synced across devices you own.
- To store and sync custom word lists you choose to save to the cloud.
- To sync your username across devices (if you set one).
- To enforce one‑device‑per‑account (deviceStatus), prevent account sharing/abuse, and auto‑logout stale sessions after 30 days.
- To protect our backend (Firebase App Check) against tampered clients and abuse.
- To fix bugs, monitor reliability, and improve features.
4. Legal basis
We process your data on the basis of your consent (sign‑in and cloud sync features), performance of a contract (provide the app's features you request), and legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, service improvement).
5. Where we store data
Google Cloud Firestore (region determined by Firebase project settings) and on your device's local storage (SharedPreferences/local files) for caching and offline use.
6. Sharing and third parties
- Firebase Authentication (Google) – sign‑in and identity management.
- Google Cloud Firestore – cloud storage and synchronization.
- Play Integrity / App Check – protect resources from non‑legitimate clients.
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only as necessary to operate these services or comply with law.
7. Retention
- Account data persists while your account remains active. Device session fields (deviceStatus) update automatically; stale sessions auto‑expire after 30 days.
- Local cache is kept for offline operation and may be cleared by you (e.g., app data reset) or automatically as needed.
- If you delete the app or request deletion of your account, we will remove or anonymize associated data within a reasonable period, subject to legal obligations.
8. Your choices and controls
- You can use the app offline for most local features; cloud sync requires sign‑in and connectivity.
- You can create, edit, and delete your custom word lists.
- You can sign out at any time; signing out clears the device's active session and prevents further cloud sync until you sign in again.
- To request access, correction, or deletion of your cloud‑stored data, contact us with your email and UID (shown in logs/settings if available). We may need to verify your identity.
9. Security
We use Firebase Authentication and Firestore Security Rules to ensure users can read/write only their own data. App Check (Play Integrity on Android) helps ensure requests come from genuine app installs. Data in transit uses HTTPS; data at rest relies on Google Cloud encryption. No system is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
10. Children's privacy
The app is designed for general audiences. If you are under the age threshold in your country, use the app only with a parent or guardian's permission and in compliance with platform policies. If you believe a child has provided personal information without consent, contact us to remove it.
11. International transfers
Your data may be processed on servers outside your country using Google's infrastructure and safeguards.
12. Refunds
- This is a paid application. Refund requests for the app purchase must be submitted through Google Play Store within the time limits set by Google (typically 48 hours after purchase, or longer in some regions).
- If a refund is granted by Google Play:
- Your access to the app will be revoked, and you will need to purchase the app again to continue using it.
- Your account data (custom words, username, etc.) will remain stored in our system but will be inaccessible until you purchase the app again.
- We do not process refunds directly. All refund requests must go through Google Play Store's refund system. Contact Google Play Support for refund assistance.
- For subscription-based features (if any), cancellation and refund policies follow Google Play's subscription terms.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy for new features, legal requirements, or security improvements. Material changes will be communicated via the app or store listing. Continued use after updates signifies acceptance.
14. Contact
For privacy inquiries or data requests, email quickguessgame@gmail.com and include your account email plus (if available) your Firebase UID.
